Product Description
These miniature egg post earrings, decorated with enameling and crystals, were inspired by the designs of Carl Fabergé (1846-1920). The Russian renowned for his artistic jeweled eggs as Easter gifts from the Tsar to the Tsarina.
In Christian tradition, the egg is an emblem of Easter, symbolic of hope and resurrection. In the Hebrew tradition, a roasted egg was served at the Passover feast to symbolize the sacrifice, which was brought to the Temple on joyful events.
Blue/green enameled 24K gold-plate over pewter.
Each earring measures approximately 0.55" x 0.75". Sterling silver earring posts.
