Product Description
The beetle being the emblem of Khepera, the God of the morning sun, was regarded by ancient Egyptians as a significant symbol of resurrection and immortality. Possibly New Kingdom, circa 1300-1000 B.C.
The meaning of the inscription on the back: “This is a scarab saying: Tut Ankh Amun, Ruler of Southern Iunu” (Thebes, which we know as Karnak).
