Egyptian Signet cufflinks
Product Description
This signet cufflinks bear an engraved text, which gives the name and title of its owner, an Egyptian priest, who was “in charge of dressing the god and the prophet Djet”. The signet was used as a seal to imprint the text on important documents. Egypt, 4th century B.C.
24K gold-plate over pewter/brass. Measures approximately 5/8” x 3/4”.
