     Garlic is considered a potent talisman against the evil eye.  Roman soldiers ate garlic in the belief that it gave courage in the battle.

     24K Antique gold-plate over pewter, enhanced by Carnelian.  Gold-filled ear wires.
Each measures approximately 1" x 0.7".
