Russian Cross pendant, Garnet

       During the reign of Catherine the Great (1762-1796), the order of Alexander Nevsky was bestowed on notable civilians as well as military heroes.  Inspired by the image on left.

       24 Karat gold-plate over pewter, enhanced by garnet cabochon.  18” gold-plate chain.
