Sunflower
Post earrings

     Our earrings were inspired by a detail from Vincent Van Gogh (Dutch, 1853-1890) “Sunflower” paintings (original on left), which have been duplicated many times by various artists (although never reaching the vivacity and intensity of Van Gogh's).

     The Sunflower symbolizes adoration, affection, constancy, gratitude and glory, and the solar wheel.  It is a Christian symbol of religious obedience, as all day it faces the sun (Christ).

     Enameled 24K gold-plate over pewter.  Sterling silver posts.
Each earring measures approximately 0.5" x 0.75".
